Driving directions from Grand Bahama International Airport: Turn left out of the airport and take the roundabout onto East Mall Dr. Continue for 2 miles and turn left onto Sunrise Hwy E. Turn right onto Coral Road, then right onto Bahama Reef Blvd. The resort is on the left.

Getting there: The easiest way is by taxi. Fare for 2 passengers is $16–$25 USD plus $3 USD per additional passenger. Rental cars and limousines are more than $36 USD. Fees subject to change without notice. Rental cars are available online.

Getting around: The many ways to get around include: the hotel’s complimentary shuttle service, which travels to the beach, grocery store, and shopping mall; scooters (generally available for more than $36 USD a day); bicycles (rented from the hotel for $5–$15 USD a day); and public buses (fares less than $5 USD), which travel to areas including downtown, Pinder’s Point, and Port Lucaya. The nearest bus stop is 1 block away. Fees subject to change without notice. Taxis are convenient and preferable to driving a rental car for those unaccustomed to the British style of driving on the left or to roundabouts. A free government-owned ferry travels daily between Sweeting’s Cay and McLean’s Town. Island-hopping is possible through the mailboats which run weekly from Freeport Harbour to Nassau although they operate on “Bahamas time,” so passage may be slow and space shared with chickens, produce, and cargo. Note: Apartments and townhouses are being renovated through 2004. Changes consist of removal of carpets, new kitchen appliances and countertops, new bathrooms, new fabrics, and installation of built-in six-chair tile-top dining tables. Caribbean Sunset Bar - Casual, open-air spot adjacent to suites building. Open in evening. Swim-up bar. Seating on expansive patio and under veranda roof draped with marine artifacts. Dinner menu of steak, chicken, fish, burgers, hot dogs, snacks.

Amenity highlights: Although not located on a beach, the resort includes two pools next to the yacht harbor, each with an adjacent bar/restaurant. A large pool located next to the building housing suites features a swim-up bar and a section with a tile-top table rising above the water that provides in-water socializing for group of eight. On the sundeck surrounding the pool, a raised area contains a 12-person spa. A medium-size pool and expansive sundeck offers swimming and sunbathing in the townhouse/apartment section.
