Driving directions from Grand Bahama International Airport: Out of the airport, turn left and go to the roundabout onto W Sunrise Hwy. Head west on Sunrise past 3 traffic lights, then to another roundabout at West Mall Dr. Continue around to the hotel on the right.

Getting around: Walking is the best way to pop into the many shops and restaurants around the hotel. Other options include: the hotel’s daily complimentary shuttle service which travels to Xanadu Beach; scooters (rented from the hotel for more than $36 USD a day); bicycles (generally available at $5–$15 USD a day); and the public bus system, which allows travel between the International Bazaar, the downtown area, and Port Lucaya Marketplace (fares are less than $5 USD.) The nearest bus stop is a block away on West Atlantic Dr. Fees subject to change without notice. Taxis are convenient and preferable to driving a rental car for those unaccustomed to the British style of driving on the left or to roundabouts. A free government-owned ferry travels daily between Sweeting’s Cay and McLean’s Town. Island-hopping is possible through the mailboats which run weekly from Freeport Harbour to Nassau although they operate on “Bahamas time,” so passage may be slow, and space may be shared with chickens, produce, and cargo. Amenity highlights: Two 18-hole championship golf courses offer unique tropical challenges such as trade winds and thick vegetation. Shared by the resort's two hotels, an artificial sandy beach fronts a million-gallon freshwater pool with three-story water slides, a waterfall, volleyball net, and swim-up bar. Each hotel has its own pool as well--the Crowne Plaza's includes a rectangular lap-swimming section, a swim-up bar, and a secluded rock-grotto spa tub.

Insider tip: A complimentary van shuttles guests between the resort hotels and to nearby points of interest all day and evening. The regularly scheduled shuttle arrives at designated stops.

Situated adjacent to the beach pool between the two hotels is a health spa offering massage, body treatments, and nail care. Massage options include Swedish, hot stone, and couples.
